Stafford Speakers Club scores 4.7 out of 5 for its first night!
In Stafford Speakers Club’s inaugural event in February local businesswoman Rachael Machin, a Chartered Physiotherapist, from Progress Point Health and Wellbeing kicked off the presentations with an informative talk busting the five big myths about Acupuncture like the width of the needles they use to achieve their effect. Her talk was well received and questions came flying in which she confidently answered.
Rowan Draper from Portavoce, the local Public Speaking Coaching business, gave a practical workshop on presenting with confidence. Utilising key strategies to warm up your body and voice ready to stand on stage he identified how speakers can deliver speak with gravitas. He also highlighted the hierarchy of importance on skills to master to improve how you engage with an audience.
Combined with a performance of the Prologue from Romeo and Juliet, Rowan coached the room on how to change their delivery with everyone receiving the opportunity to receive feedback both from other guests as well as the Professional Coach.
Our guests gave the following reviews for our first event:
“Excellent venue and presentation. Very engaging! I would recommend.”
“What a great night, going to help me loads moving forward!”
“It was great, thank you.”
“I found it really useful. Thank you”
